Guidelines for Publishing with ITJP

The ITJP “Pick a Topic” section serves as a platform for disseminating scholarly content, including essays, articles, posts, and other academically credible research findings pertaining to core international crimes and human rights violations. We aim to establish a comprehensive and dependable information resource for victims, vulnerable groups, researchers, policymakers, and human rights advocates.

Our objectives encompass raising awareness about the nature and extent of core international crimes and human rights violations, fostering deeper comprehension, and catalyzing action towards their eradication. Furthermore, we aim to empower victims and advocates to pursue justice through national and international legal mechanisms.

In our commitment to ensuring the quality and relevance of the content published on our website, we have outlined the following guidelines and criteria for article acceptance:
  1. Relevance: Submitted articles must align with ITJP’s vision and mission, which revolves around combatting core international crimes such as war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, crimes of aggression, and human rights violations. Submissions should offer related information, findings, insights, perspectives, or analyses on topics within the purview of core international crimes and human rights.
  2.
  3. Accuracy: Articles must demonstrate factual accuracy, supported by credible sources and evidence, and must be devoid of any misleading or false information. Any claims or statements within the article must be verifiable and trustworthy.
  4.
  5. Originality: Articles must be original and not have been previously published elsewhere. Proper citations for references must be provided, and any potential conflicts of interest should be disclosed.
  6.
  7. Clarity and Accessibility: Submissions should be composed in English, Persian, or Pashto, making them easily comprehensible to our diverse audience. They should exhibit a well-structured, coherent, and engaging style.
  8.
  9. Ethical Considerations: Articles must uphold ethical principles, including respect for human dignity, diversity, and cultural sensitivity. They should refrain from any form of hate speech, discrimination, or advocacy of violence.
  10.
  11. Length: Ideal articles fall within the range of 500 to 2,500 words, although we will consider longer submissions on a case-by-case basis.
  12.
  13. Editorial Process: All submissions will undergo a thorough editorial process to ensure alignment with our guidelines and criteria. Our editorial team reserves the right to make necessary edits or revisions, including adjustments to headlines, subheadings, and images.
